This benefit information is separate from the Helmets to Hardhats network and may apply more broadly to qualifying veterans, service members, and eligible dependents participating in an approved apprenticeship or OJT program.
Are you a military veteran? Our Apprenticeship/On-the-Job Training (OJT) program is approved under Title 38 of the U.S. Code. This designation allows qualifying veterans, service members, and eligible dependents to use their GI Bill® benefits while learning a trade.
In addition to your regular wages, you may be eligible to receive a monthly housing allowance (MHA) and/or stipend from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to support you during your training.
To apply for these benefits, you will need to provide a copy of your Certificate of Eligibility (COE) and your DD-214 (Member 4 copy).
